Sardine for Brunch

Quick Bite:

Sardine is a cheerful and pleasant place to visit for brunch with friends. Its charming setting lends itself well for celebrations, hallmarked by an excellent brunch menu and friendly staff. We’ll be back!

Service:

Our service was great, and I had a consistent experience with my previous visit. They were easily able to accommodate my medium sized group of friends, and the waiter graciously took photos of us at the end of our meal since it was a small baby shower for a friend.

Ambiance:

The restaurant is beautiful, with a gorgeous bar, visibly active kitchen, and a view I hope to enjoy one day when dining in warm weather. It was surprising easy to park, given our reservation was peak brunch time.

Large Groups:

I would not do a huge group, but my group of 6 was able to snag a reservation far in advance. Seating felt a little snug, but service didn't appear to be interrupted or difficult to complete.

Taste:

Crab, bacon, lardon, and shrimp cakes- adobo beurre blanc, two eggs any style, mixed greens, parsley, and pickled red onion salad

Perfect!! Crab cakes are one of my favorite foods and when you combine it with brunch I am over the moon. My only complaint is I wish there were more, so I could eat more. And with a poached egg, it was like having a fresh seafood eggs Benedict.

Yeah, No

We went for dinner back in February, and had such great food we tried (and failed) to get reservations for brunch the next day. Ade is salty he didn’t get to enjoy this brunch, and thought about making his own reservation. It is no coincidence that our favorite brunch spot, Marigold Kitchen, is under the same ownership. So yeah, we’ll be back one way or another.
